SIERRA CLUB-NAAEE'S GREEN YOUTH LEADER AWARD
The Green Youth Leader Award was a joint honor given by Sierra Club and NAAEE, and was presented to a high school student during the Awards Luncheon at the NAAEE Annual Conference in 2008 and 2009 in recognition of a contribution to, or leadership in, environmental education at the local, state/provincial, regional, national, or global level. The ideal candidate was a student who was currently completing or had just completed his or her junior year in high school.
The award winners received a gift certificate for $1,000 towards a Sierra Club national outing, plus airfare.
